Supernormal is organised by a small team of artists, musicians and organisers all giving their time for free to create this intimate and unique festival. We need volunteers to help make it all come together, organise the festival, build the site, run the event and clear it all away again afterwards. It’s going to be a really amazing weekend and we are pleased you want to be a part of it!
Details
- Weekend volunteers will do 3 shifts of 5 hours fri-sun.
- Weekend volunteers need to attend a briefing before starting a shift.
- All volunteers get weekend tickets to the event and a hot daily meal.

VOLUNTEER ROLES
PRE-EVENT
Local Liaison (Oxford/Reading)
We have a role for people living locally to Braziers Park to identify relevant organisations, assist in accessing local audiences and promoting the event in the region. This can include postering and flyering venues in the area.
Volunteer co-ordinators
To recruit and organise volunteers prior to the event, and to co-ordinate volunteers onsite over the weekend.
PRE-FESTIVAL WEEK
Build Crew/Handy People
We need a crew of handy people to assist in setting up the location for the festival and general site build including erecting and creating structures.
Runners/Drivers/Superheroes
To provide vital assistance to the team to help out with odd jobs on site, and generally helping out and being wonderful. This will be for the week running up to the festival and over the weekend (you don’t have to do both). Use of own vehicle and a can-do attitude would be a huge advantage.
Production Crew
On-site production people required to deal with the co-ordination and smooth running of the festival in the lead up to the festival and over the weekend (you don’t have to do both). To involve compiling information, site organisation, artist liaison, dealing with enquiries and general all-round helpfulness.
Catering
A team is needed to manage and assist in running a small and basic kitchen on limited resources. To plan and cater for one main meal per day for approx 50 volunteers and crew for the week running up to and over the festival weekend (you don’t have to do both).
WEEKEND
Stewards
To man the car park and various areas around the site where happenings will be taking place and to prevent the public entering out of bounds areas.
Stage Areas
Stage management, artist liaision, sound assistants to help out over the various stages and areas. Stage and technical experience required.
Supernormal Superstore
This will house band/artist merchandise, zine stall, and a small village shop. This will include cash handling and dealing with artists merch and stock monitoring,
Bar Staff
There is a main bar tent on site, you will be required to serve drinks, take money, clear down etc.
Eco Site Cleaners & Tidyers
Making sure the eco site of Braziers Park is kept that way. Organising the waste and re-cycling areas and litter picking around the site.
Toilet Attendants
To manage the eco composting toilets around the site; to re-stock, clean, tidy as well as maintaining the outdoor shower. Not a portaloo in sight!
Box Office
Dealing with festival arrivals to issue wristbands, as well as dealing with artists and guest lists, tickets, cash handling, directions/info etc.
First Aiders
Required to be available on site throughout the weekend in case of accidents and medical emergencies.
POST FESTIVAL
Clear-up & Take Down
To include general take down, clearing the site on Mon-Weds following the festival. You will get to enjoy the festival weekend without working! A ticket deposit will be taken.
